What is Maritime AIS?

Maritime AIS is a tracking system that monitors vessel movements using transponders aboard ships (Class A and B). SkyFi’s Enhanced Satellite AIS product goes beyond traditional AIS by combining satellite, terrestrial, and dynamic sources for broader coverage and higher update frequency.

How to Order AIS Analytics in the SkyFi App

1. Go to the SkyFi Web App
   Visit app.skyfi.com and log in.

2. Click "Browse Analytics" on the homepage
   You'll see the “Maritime AIS” option listed under available analytics products.

3. Explore the Product Page

   • Read the full product description and you can download a sample csv to review typical output format

4. Select Your Area of Interest (AOI)

   • Use the map tool to draw or search for your region of interest

   • Adjust the AOI boundaries as needed

5. Choose Your Data Collection Date Range

   • Pick a specific time window, including historical dates (data available since Oct 2018)

6. Review Pricing

   • Pricing adjusts based on the number of AIS messages in your selected AOI and timeframe

7. Place Your Order

   • Once confirmed, your processed data will be delivered as a downloadable .CSV file.
