If I want to order an image in the SkyFi app, how do I do that?

The SkyFi app allows you to search our library of Existing Images or order a satellite to capture a New Image for a specific location. Please see below for a step by step process for ordering on both the desktop browser and mobile app. 

Desktop/New Image

  1. Once you are logged in, click the "Explore" tab on the navigation bar to the left of your screen.
  2. Click "Order New Image" and move the area of interest box or search for a location in the search bar until you've identified the area of interest you'd like to select.
  3. Once you've selected your area of interest, select the date range during which you'd like the image captured, type of image, the resolution, and whether or not you want a high priority image. You can click "More Options" to also view cloudiness.
  4. Click "Add to Cart.”
  5. If you are done shopping, click "Go to Cart" and if you want to order more images, click "Continue Exploring.”
  6. Once in the cart, if the image meets your criteria, click "Check Out" and enter your personal and payment information.
  7. Click "Pay" and get excited for your shot from space to deliver! 
  8. Delivery details will be sent via email and you can always view your order history in the app under "My Orders.”

 

Desktop/Existing Image

  1. Once you are logged in, click the "Explore" tab on the navigation bar to the left of your screen.
  2. Click "Create Area of Interest" under "Find Existing Images" or you can search for a location in the top search bar. 
  3. Once you've selected your area of interest, options for Existing Images will appear in your navigation bar. With each image option, you can view the resolution, the date it was taken, the percentage of cloudiness in the image, the price per square kilometer, and the minimum size required. As you hover over each Existing Image, the surface area of the Existing Image will appear highlighted in orange.
  4. Once you've found an Existing Image that meets your criteria and captures your area of interest, click "Add to Cart". If this option does not appear, you may need to expand the area of interest box to meet the criteria for the specific existing image.
  5. If you are done shopping, click "Go to Cart" and if you want to order more images, click "Continue Exploring.”
  6. Once in the cart, if the image meets your criteria, click "Check Out" and enter your personal and payment information.
  7. Click "Pay" and get excited for your shot from space to deliver! 
  8. Delivery details will be sent via email and you can always view your order history in the app under "My Orders.”

 

Mobile/New Image

  1. Click new images on the navigation bar on the bottom of your screen.
  2. Use the search to find a specific location or manually browse the map by scrolling directly on the map.
  3. Once you've selected your area of interest, click "Continue to Options.”
  4. Once in image options, select the date range during which you'd like the image selected, the specific sensor type, the resolution, and whether or not you want a high priority image. You can click "More Options" to also view cloudiness.
  5. Click "Add to Cart" - if you have selected that you want to pick a specific day and time, it will prompt you to pick the day and time once you've clicked "Add to Cart.”
  6. If you are done shopping, click "Go to Cart" and if you want to order more images, click "Back to Map.”
  7. Once in the cart, if the image meets your criteria, click "Check Out" and enter your personal and payment information.
  8. Click "Pay" and get excited for your shot from space to deliver! 
  9. Delivery details will be sent via email and you can always view your order history in the app under "My Profile.”

 

Mobile/Existing Image

  1. Click Existing Images on the navigation bar on the bottom of your screen.
  2. Use the search to find a specific location or manually browse the map by scrolling directly on the map.
  3. Once you've selected your area of interest, options for Existing Images will appear in your navigation bar. With each image option, you can view the resolution, the date it was taken, the percentage of cloudiness in the image, the price per square kilometer, and the minimum size required.
  4. Once you've found an Existing Image that meets your criteria and captures your area of interest, click "Add to Cart.” If this option does not appear, you may need to expand the area of interest box to meet the criteria for the specific Existing Image. You can find those details listed below the price per square kilometer.
  5. If you are done shopping, click "Go to Cart" and if you want to order more images, click "Back to Map.”
  6. Once in the cart, if the image meets your criteria, click "Check Out" and enter your personal and payment information.
  7. Click "Pay" and get excited for your shot from space to deliver! 
  8. Delivery details will be sent via email and you can always view your order history in the app under "My Profile.”
