What's the difference between satellite and aerial imagery?
Satellite imagery provided by SkyFi is captured daily around the globe from space without requiring a pilot, leading to shorter wait times to receive data. Users can apply this data for analytics use and other applications. Aerial imagery, as provided by applications like Google Maps, has higher resolutions, as it is typically captured via airplanes, drones, balloons, and even cars, all of which need operators. Due to the human factor, these methods lead to longer wait times to receive their data. The higher resolution of aerial imagery allows you to see more detail, such as rooftops, small objects in yards and existing structures. etc, and will soon be available via the SkyFi app as well.
